The Knitting Pattern for the Penny Jacket is designed to be knitted in 8ply/ DK wool tension 22sts and 30 rows to 10cm/4". Buttons for Vee Shawl collar 6 buttons/ High Collar 8 buttons.
Test your skills: This design is supported by a knitting class, allowing you to test your skill level over two knitted samples and just 30sts; the first includes cables and the Corrugated front band, the second sample is for the pocket detail. When you order the knitting pattern this knitting class is included and will be emailed to you, the knitting pattern and complimentary shade card will be mailed.
Sizes: The knitting pattern has six chest sizes from 33"to 51"/ 81 - 130cm with a chest ease of 4"/ 10cm per size. Extra Hip ease can be incorporated into the garment, adding 3"/8cm into the hip.
Collar Options: The image with three garments shows the three collar options in this pattern. The top garment shows the High Round Collar, as the Cream garment is shown, buttons up high with 6 buttons. Knitted in Brick Red the Vee Shawl Collar creates the turn back shawl style; in Stone Fleck is the Vee Shawl with High Round Collar.
Cuff detail: The cuff on the sleeve is knitted separately and sewn on; see how the cables run in the opposite direction to the body of the sleeves. The cuff overlaps itself as a cuff trim and is completed with button trim. This added on cuff allows for a very easy sleeve length adjustment.
