This Knitting kit includes 150g of yarn and instructions for seven different stitch patterns, each worked for 18 rows. The Chunky scarf is knitted with 2 ends of DK/8ply combined knitted on 12mm needles. OR work as 8ply on 6mm needles over 40sts.

The stitch patterns will help new knitters learn to count rows and distinguish knits from purls too. Six of the seven stitch patterns are reversible, the same on both sides, and are stitch patterns I use for my knitted on button bands.

The first 18 rows are Knit for Garter Stitch: Next 8 rows of rib K2, P2 the rib narrows the knitting & almost doubles the length. The class has great images and written instructions per 18 row stitch pattern.

Almost any yarn from your stash will do but since you need to see your stitches, I'd avoid textured yarns. While it looks cool chunky, I find really big needles 10mm & above quite clumsy to use.

Stitch Patterns include Garter Stitch, Ribbing, Moss Stitch, Basket Stitch, Basket Weave, Double Moss, Corrugated Garter and Woven Basket which is the one pattern that isn't reversible but looks interesting both sides.

Lots to learn from this class whilst creating a scarf from your stash.

The new Pippa Sweater design is still on the needles, I have incorporated most of these stitches into this sweater.
